This role supports Global Finance Transformation, the person will be responsible to lead the successful delivery of projects while promoting and embedding Agile best practices within cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of both traditional project management and Agile methodologies. Position reports dotted line to Finance Transformation Tower Leaders and is responsible for the successful enablement of key global initiatives to support Finance. The ideal candidate will drive execution, manage stakeholder expectations, and champion continuous improvement by fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and Agile mindset. This role primarily focuses on Scrum Master responsibilities but may also include additional duties as needed by the business

Objective of this role:

  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
  • Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.

Tasks and Responsabilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for 1-2 Agile teams, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Guide teams in Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and help them improve velocity and delivery quality.
  • Coach Product Owners on backlog grooming, prioritization, and story writing.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and remove impediments to team productivity and growth.
  • Promote self-organizing teams and servant leadership.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocation, risks, and issues.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of tasks and milestones.
  • Track progress using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead steering committee meetings and ensure project governance is followed.
  • Drive decision-making, escalate issues when necessary, and ensure timely resolution of blockers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field. ·
  • 5 years of experience in project management and Agile delivery initiatives within Finance functions.
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and traditional project management frameworks.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification. Highly desired.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other Project Management certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence ) and project tracking systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing without authority.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and Agile values.
