Skills and Competencies

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish: Required for effective communication with clients across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
  • Strong organizational skills: Required to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Required to build and maintain strong relationships with Relationship Managers and clients.
  • Analytical skills: Desired for interpreting sales data and providing actionable insights to the team.
  • Adaptability and flexibility: Preferred to handle diverse client needs and changing market conditions.
  • Experience in the financial services industry in a business development, sales or client relationship role is desirable.

Education

  • University Studies in finance, accounting, business, economics, international relations/commerce. Ideally one year ahead of graduation.
  • Internship Start date: March 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crucial sales support to Relationship Managers to ensure an excellent level of customer-centric service is provided.
  • Will be responsible for maintenance, accuracy and completeness of data entered in Sales Force, or other internal databases in relation to customer details, meetings, opportunities pricing, and fees.
  • Will be responsible to draft side letters, support the opportunities and rating applications process, help draft Pricing and Method exceptions, and provide support on bespoke product request approvals.
  • Will work closely with key internal stakeholders including but not limited too legal, billing/collections team, sales ops, compliance etc. to address management and customer needs, such as resolving invoice issues.
  • Source and collate information in preparation for customer meetings which may include credit research as advised by the Relationship Manager.
  • Generate documentation such as fee brochures and pricing letters to support pricing approvals and exceptions as it relates to the annual fee negotiation process.

About the team

Service focused individual contributor responsible for providing mainly office based sales support for the Relationship Management and Business Development Teams. The associate will work to support team members to maintain relationships while increasing mandates and revenue in their assigned territory(ies), region(s) and/or line of business. Individuals must exercise independent judgment to support customer relationships under little direct supervision.
