Job Description:

We are looking for a Import and Export Specialist to join our team in Costa Rica. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making an impact on our life-saving work, this may be a good fit for you! As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
SUMMARY: Working under little to no supervision and following detailed verbal, written, and hands-on instructions. Manage a team of operators to meet productivity and quality goals by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensure all processes are in compliance with Customs Law
  • Free Zone Imports and Export legislations and modalities knowledge
  • Assist the Supply Chain Clerk when needed with Import & Export doubts and problems
  • Assist our internal customers with Import & Export doubts and problems
  • Process and follow up claims with our Freight forwarders
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and develop
  • When applicable, follows standard operating procedures for all tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 years of experience in similar positions or logistics.
  • Bachelor's degree in customs administration or similar career (international administration, foreign trade or industrial engineering as long as you have experience in free zone).
  • Knowledge in customs legislation preferably in free zone.
  • Intermediate English, able to communicate fluently.
  • Knowledge in Tica.
