Position Title: Accounts Payable Analyst I

Location: Tres Rios, Costa Rica and Hybrid


Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Analyst I plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting department with a range of tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis. This role involves processing invoices, assisting in month-end close procedures, and helping to generate financial reports. The Accounts Payable Analyst I contributes to maintaining accurate financial records and collaborates with team members to ensure compliance and efficient operations.


Primary Responsibilities

An Accounting Assistant is responsible for.

  • Maintains financial records: They perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, & verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records such as costing, accounts payable, payroll, &/or travel & expenses.
  • Preparing financial reports: They assist in preparing financial statements, budget reports, & other financial reports for management review.
  • Conducting financial analysis: They may perform basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, & potential areas of improvement.


Accounting Assistant II scope & ownership;

  • Recurring competence in assigned tasks & responsibilities.
  • Draws conclusions with guidance and assists in problem-solving. Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze and interpret financial data
  • Analysis and preparation of GRIR/RNI reporting as well as Aging reporting for Accounts Payable
  • Processing, verification of invoices and performing account reconciliations as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, finance, or related.
  • Proven work experience (2 years at least) with in-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Advance level of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
