JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting an experienced front end web developer to design and build our client facing portal. We are committed to developing a top quality customer experience and workflow and need a passionate professional to continue refining the vision and make it a reality. We expect the candidate will take the current vision and make it their own and truly own our customer experience on the web.

Given that we are a security and intelligence firm, security is a primary requirement along with high quality design and ease of use for our customers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Duties:

  • Design and build a secure, compelling, client workflow and experience.
  • Evaluate and select the core technologies needed to deliver a secure, responsive, intuitive client application.
  • Work closely with our backend team to develop the necessary interfaces, queries, reports, etc.
  • Constantly evolve and improve our client interface.
  • Work with an agile team to solve problems and deliver results.
  • Ensure our client interface is mobile friendly and able to be delivered in multiple languages.

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Full cycle of JavaScript front-end development. Includes deep understanding of the DOM, JSON, object-oriented JavaScript, and common JavaScript libraries.
  • Implementing AJAX-driven interface. This includes extensive knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, AJAX, and REST.
  • Evaluating and utilizing frameworks for front-end development, such as jQuery, Stylus, Browserify, Handlebars, Backbone.
  • Maintaining complex JavaScript front-end projects. This includes the ability to structure JavaScript code, delay loading, and execution optimization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills:

  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript with client/server side MVC frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Prototype, Ember, Backbone, Angular, etc.)
  • At least 2 years developing in Angular or similar.
  • Experience with VueJS.
  • Experience bulding complex UI with Material UI and Bootstrap.
  • Expertise in REST/JSON/AJAX.
  • Expertise in Responsive Design.
  • Experience with Agile development and version control systems.
  • Strong demonstrated UI design skills.
  • Understanding of W3C standards and experience in addressing cross-browser and platform compatibility issues.
  • Understanding of Internationalization and implementing multi-lingual web applications.
  • Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
  • Very detail and quality oriented.
  • Experience working with the Elastic stack is a big plus!
