As a SASE SecDevOps Lead Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing the integration of security services into our cloud-based networking environments. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, blending development and operations practices to deliver a secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure. Areas of focus will include implementing ZeroTrust SASE solutions across Cloud providers and datacenters, applying advanced threat protection and improving compliance through network security policy management, to name a few.

YOU WILL:

  • Utilize knowledge of security design principles to design, implement, and manage end-to-end security solutions for BCG with a focus on SASE technologies
  • Apply continuous improvement by assessing BCG’s security needs and provide recommendations to enhance our overall security posture
  • Automate the deployment and management of security infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Zscaler solutions into existing IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with DevOps and SecOps teams to ensure security is embedded in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Conduct thorough analysis of security requirements, architecture, and policies
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security configurations, guidelines, and best practices
  • Integrate threat intelligence and automated response mechanisms into SASE platforms to enhance threat detection and remediation
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of network configurations and implement necessary controls
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practices for SASE and DevOps
  • Work in Agile framework

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Securing global networks and/or large global enterprise environments with automation tools and practices to ensure consistency and repeatability
  • Deep understanding of network security principles, protocols, and tools, particularly in cloud environments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Maintain knowledge base and 'as built' documentation for network security services
  • Successfully interfacing and connecting with skilled technologists and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment leveraging strong work management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Negotiating and consensus building between stakeholders where competing priorities exist, providing well-honed influencing skills
  • You’re able to effectively handle difficult and stressful situations with poise, tact and patience, while demonstrating a sense of urgency

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on SASE cloud environments and DevOps practices with large scale implementations distributed globally
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple developer tools and automation frameworks
    • Excellent communication skills for user and leadership interactions and team collaboration
  • Relevant DevSecOps certifications
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • BA degree in Computer or Information Sciences or related field

Desirable

  • Experience as a network security engineer with knowledge of SASE frameworks and technologies like SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).
  • Familiarity with machine learning or AI-driven security analytics tools.
  • Experience managing relationships with security vendors and evaluating new technologies.
  • Related security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, etc.)
