Join our Employee Relations Team
Our Employee Relations (ER) team collaborates closely with leadership, HR Business Partners, Legal and employees to advise on complex matters, including performance improvement and investigations. We endeavor to achieve a balance of employee advocacy and company stewardship. In realizing every employee's potential, we enable the company's success.
Be an employee relations champion
You will be a key member of our Employee Relations team, focusing on Employee Relations investigations that involve Director level employees and below of the Canada and US teams and serve as a backup investigator for LatAm. Additionally, you will manage ER-related projects to enhance the function's overall effectiveness and efficiency.
As an Employee Relations Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Senior Director with development of the Employee Relations COE for the Americas framework.
- Investigating alleged violations of Akamai's policies and procedures (including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation)
- Presenting findings to decision-makers, making and supporting implementation of recommendations for resolution.
- Communicating, cooperating, and collaborating with managers and employees.
- Collaborating across HR to gather input, disseminate information, and promote cooperation on ER initiatives and programs.
- Participating in HR-related projects to improve processes, systems, and manager and employee experiences.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Have 5 years of experience in Employee Relations investigations, Employee Relations role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney
- Possess highly developed communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and persuade others
- Demonstrate the skills to deliver findings and recommendations on sensitive cases through clear communication .
- Have attention to detail when it comes to documentation, process execution, and follow up
- Enjoy partnering with HR colleagues, Legal, Audit, Talent, and Development to implement solutions and achieve business results
