The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for supporting all activities related to government logging and discrepancy analysis function which includes verifying the accuracy of calculated discounts and analyzing discrepancies to determine root cause and resolution steps.

As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will review customer accounts and identify discrepancies between the expected cost of service and payer payment. You will have an important role in determining the patient’s insurance status and extent of insurance benefits, ensuring an efficient billing process for medical providers.

• Ensure government discrepancy analysis and processes are performed efficiently and effectively including:
  • Monitoring and resolution of unpaid claims and month-end governmental reports.
  • Governmental discrepancy analysis and resolution.
  • Batch report corrections.
  • Medicare Bad Debt management.
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Requirements

• English – Spanish Language (Oral and writing 85% or higher), (B2+ or above).
• Technical Degree in Finance or Accounting, or Student of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience back office/analytic related tasks.
• The resource will adjust its local schedule with the resources supporting this position during Daylight Savings time changes in the Eastern Time Zone.
• Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of customer satisfaction and performance in a high transaction volume/high demand environment preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Access etc.)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
